Common questions
What is a VDS server?
A VDS (virtual dedicated server) is a server created by partitioning a physical server through virtualization, running its own operating system. Its CPU, memory and disk resources are as stated in your plan; you connect to the server with root privileges and install your own software.
What is the difference between a VDS and web hosting?
With web hosting you manage only your site through a control panel; you have no access to the server itself. With a VDS the operating system is yours: you install whatever software you want and configure it yourself. In return, managing the server is also your responsibility.
What is the difference between a VDS and a dedicated server?
With a dedicated server the entire physical machine is yours; with a VDS you use a virtual portion of a physical server that is allocated to you. A VDS starts at a lower cost and adding resources is easy; for workloads that need very high resources, a dedicated server is the preferred choice.
Which operating systems can I install?
Linux distributions and Windows Server options are listed at checkout. The current list is in the "Your choices at checkout" section on this page.
Can I connect to a VDS server via remote desktop?
If you choose Windows Server you connect via remote desktop (RDP); if you choose Linux you connect via SSH.
Can I install cPanel or Plesk on the server?
Since you have root access, you can install the control panel yourself. The panel license is not included in the VDS price.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
You can purchase additional CPU, RAM, disk and IP addresses. Unit prices are in the "Add-on resource prices" table on this page.
Can I get more than one IP address?
Yes. The number of IP addresses included with each plan is shown in the table; additional IP addresses are purchased as add-on resources.
Is there a backup service?
Backups are the customer's responsibility. Backup services can be purchased separately for your server: FTP backup space, cloud image backup and immutable backup.
What is the difference between a VPS and a VDS?
The main difference is how they are virtualised. A VPS is virtualised at software level and depends on the host operating system. A VDS is virtualised at hardware level, so you can run any operating system you like.
What is the advantage of SSD storage?
SSD drives have no moving parts; compared with mechanical disks they use less power and read and write far faster, so servers on SSD storage process requests noticeably quicker.
How soon is my VDS delivered?
Orders placed during working hours are delivered the same day. Orders placed outside working hours are delivered in the next working period.
Can the operating system be reinstalled?
Yes. You can request one free reinstall every 30 days; more frequent reinstalls are charged.
Who manages the server?
System administration of the VDS is the customer's responsibility. If you open a support ticket, we help on a best-effort basis.
Do you offer server management?
Yes, we offer system administration and monitoring. Because it depends on the server type and the applications running, pricing and terms are set by quote.
Where are the servers located?
In Turkey, in the Denizli and İzmir data centers. You can choose the location when ordering.
Is there an uptime guarantee?
The 99% uptime guarantee applies only where an SLA-2 or higher SLA plan has been purchased for the service. The free SLA-1 plan and services without an SLA plan are not covered by this guarantee.
Can I order a plan marked "Out of stock"?
No. The order button is disabled for plans that are out of stock. For more information, you can use the contact page to write to us.
Is IPv6 supported?
Yes. IPv6 is supported in both of our data centres and across all our services, alongside IPv4.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. The plans on this page are 16% off with annual billing, compared with monthly billing. You can choose the billing cycle at checkout.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. You can request a refund within the first 14 days; all you need to do is open a support ticket from the client area. Domain names, SSL certificates and similar services are not covered by this guarantee. Refund terms
Do prices include VAT?
For customers in Turkey, all amounts on the site and in the cart include VAT. Customers outside Turkey are not charged VAT.
Which payment methods can I use?
You can pay by credit card or bank transfer / EFT. Our bank accounts are listed on the bank account details page.
What is the difference between individual and corporate invoices?
Individual accounts are invoiced to your name (with your Turkish ID number if you are in Turkey); corporate accounts are invoiced to your company name and tax number. You can choose the account type when creating your account.
