We help set up a backup routine and keep track of whether backups are being taken. Backup space is bought separately.
Technical support

Access
How does access to the server work?
No root / Administrator access
On managed servers, root (Linux) and Administrator (Windows) access is not given. Our technical team manages the server, so every change stays under our control.
You manage your site from the panel
If a control panel is installed, you can manage your site, email accounts and databases yourself from the panel.
Changes by support ticket
When something needs installing or changing on the server, you can open a ticket and our technical team will do it.

What is a managed server?
It is a service in which our technical team handles the setup, updates, security and monitoring of your Linux or Windows server for you. The server resources are yours; we take on the administration.
Which servers can I add it to?
You can add it to VDS and dedicated servers. For your own server housed with colocation, write to us and we will look at it case by case.
How is it priced?
We quote according to the number of servers, the software to be installed and the scope you want. Tell us what you need and we can settle the scope and price together.
Is the control panel licence included?
No. Installing cPanel or Plesk is part of the service; the licence fee is separate.
Do you also deal with problems in my site's software?
The service covers the server side: operating system, services, security and performance settings. Bugs in your site's own software are outside the scope, though we can look together at whether a problem comes from the server.
Who is responsible for my backups?
Responsibility for backups rests with you. We help set up the backup routine; for copies kept outside the server you can add one of our backup services.
Is root or Administrator access given?
No. On managed servers, root (Linux) and Administrator (Windows) access is not given; our technical team manages the server. You can manage your site from the control panel and open a ticket for anything you need on the server side.
Are Windows servers covered too?
Yes. The service applies to both Linux and Windows Server; on Windows, IIS, ASP.NET and MSSQL setup and Windows updates are in scope.
Is IPv6 supported?
Yes. IPv6 can be used alongside IPv4 on the servers we manage; we handle the address and firewall settings for IPv6 too.
