What is Nextcloud?
It is open-source software that lets you run file storage, sharing, calendar and contacts on your own server. Your data sits on a server that belongs to you rather than in another company's cloud.
Do I pay a separate licence fee for Nextcloud?
No. Nextcloud is free, open-source software; what you pay for is the server and the setup.
Who handles updates?
The server is yours and you can apply updates yourself. If you would rather leave this to us, you can add the managed server service.
What if I run out of storage?
You can increase storage and server resources later; your data stays in place.
Is backup included?
Responsibility for backups rests with you. For a copy of your data outside the server, you can add one of our backup services.
Can I move my existing files?
Yes. You can upload your files to Nextcloud with the desktop app or through the web interface.
Is IPv6 supported?
Yes. Your Nextcloud server can be reached over IPv6 as well as IPv4; IPv6 is supported in both of our data centres.
